TENTERDEN & DISTRICT MUSEUM ASSOCIATION

• You would be joining over 200 people locally who also care for and preserve our cultural history.
• Members enjoy unlimited access to documents, maps, house histories and genealogy housed in Tenterden & District Museum.
• Members are sent four newsletters per year (please find the latest enclosed) these include articles of local historical interest and forthcoming events organised by the Museum Association.
• By becoming a member you would contribute to the care of the Museum collection which amounts to over 2,000 objects and many hundred documents.

THERE IS MORE TO DO THAN JUST MEMBERSHIP

• You may want to become even more involved with Tenterden Museum – if you see a voluntary job in the following list that suits you, please let us know:
  
  Museum steward – Easter to mid October, one session of three hours once a fortnight.
  Very flexible hours to fit in with your other activities.
  Training would be given with a seasoned steward.
  Great for meeting people!
• Treasurer needed. Involves weekly collection and banking of takings, during summer season. Work closely with Curator to maximise use of funds.
• Sorting and cataloguing – we have an over-spilling store room and a backlog of cataloguing that needs tackling. This would be a team job during this winter.
  About three hours once a week. Handling artefacts kept in store. Checking if they are catalogued, all under the guidance of the Curator.
• Newsletter editor – explore our rich local history and compile and edit the quarterly newsletter.
